We are excited to announce that we are now collecting information for those interested in applying for the opportunity to test Star Wars™: The Old Republic™. Our goal is to get feedback to help us make the best game that we can.
We will be selecting testers from the Star Wars: The Old Republic community based on various requirements such as systems specifications, age, and region. Because the testing program requires feedback from within the community, you must have an active Star Wars: The Old Republic (“TOR”) community account to participate (no banned accounts). The testing is limited to members who are 18 years of age or older and requires the acceptance of the Game Testing Agreement included in the TOR community sign-up process. Users that meet the requirements of the test and are selected for inclusion in the test program will be contacted via email (so make sure your email address is up to date!).
Game testing for Star Wars: The Old Republic will be rolled out in several phases over an extended period of time. These test phases will begin with smaller, tightly focused test groups, and later tests will expand.
Want to get your name on the list of potential testers? First, make sure you are a registered member of the Star Wars: The Old Republic community. If you’re not already a member, click here to become one today! Be sure to check the box to indicate you are interested in becoming a tester. If you’re already a member, go to the Game Testing Portal to begin the sign up process.

Update: Thank you for your overwhelming support and interest in our Game Testing program. It’s been a humbling 24 hours. We knew that interest would be high but yesterday the community proved just how highly anticipated Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ is. We experienced an overwhelming amount of traffic which resulted in having to bring the website down so the team could address the performance and capacity issues.
While we are still experiencing a high degree of traffic, we have brought the service back up and are accepting new accounts and Game Tester applications. We will be continually monitoring the service and do our best to manage the continued volumes of interest. We have also brought up the community section of The Old Republic but please understand that we will take the forums down as necessary to alleviate some of the traffic.
We recognize and have heard from some of you that there are some difficulties in registering with us, and want you to know that we are working to provide you with ongoing solutions. For those of you experiencing issues in signing up, please see the following thread for more information.

The Old Republic community members using either Hotmail or Yahoo email providers may not be receiving transactional emails at this time. This includes validation and password recovery emails. We are looking into the situation and will update you when we can.
The team is still working on various solutions for the looping issue that some users are experiencing. Your patience is appreciated while we are working on this. And remember, the order in which an individual signs up has no bearing on who gets chosen for testing.

And i would chooce sith warrior cause first i know that the warrior will be a tank for the siths and jedi knight for republic and i want to test a tank in this cool game and second he can wear 2 lightsabers and he got lightsaber from lvl 1 and third i like siths they are cool nice robes nice fighting moves i like it xD! |

I have waited 1 year and 3 days to test it and no email so much time waiting no answer well i think i will not be selected but i can wait until december 29 2010 cause so many new cool games have came out and if someone read this from bioware plz send a answer with a email i have been selected yes or not! |

Looking forward to playing this game when it is released, if I get the chance to test it before hand even better. I have yet to be disappointed by BioWare's products. KoTOR 1 and 2 were amazing and this has had me go back and replay the games a few times threw. |

I almost cried tears of freakin joy when i heard about the idea to make a GOOD star wars mmo. I play KOTOR to this day and have been a star wars fan for close to 16 years. I will die happy if i can test this beta. |

I can agree with all of you, i am fed up of playing WOW and the old republic looks awsome, something new and exciting to look forward to :). I used to enjoy playing star wars galaxies till sony messed it up. It seems bioware have taken alot of time and effort to make this game not like WOW which is what interests me alot as i also played lord of the rings and that was not much different from WOW. Hopin i get to beta test as well :D |

I am so sick of WOW, can't wait for the KOTOR beta release, love the story, loved the games and now I am ready to pay bucks to play online and continue the crack addition that is Knights of the old republic.. Question is what shall I play? Likely a Jedi but who knows. |

It would be a nice change after 6 WHOLE years ( That's right even through NGE =_=) This has been one of my favoured eras it has such a deepening and mysterious story behind it. Amazing progress so far I could wait 'till the real game comes out if it ends up this good ^^ |
