IGN Comics: Do you have a definitive release date right now, or is that more contingent on the state of the game?

Chestney: Well, the comic is going to post online starting February 27th. That'll be the first issue of the comic, and we're doing three-page installments every two weeks. As we get nearer to the game the story should heat up a bit.

I would like to think the comics are "heating up a bit". Maybe it's somewhat close to being released? It's hard to say since they don't releas very much info on it. Maybe their holding back until right before the game comes out? I'm not to sure but I guess we'll have to wait and see

Im all for developer content, and I may be risking a flamewar by stating this... but I really wish they would concentrate just a little less on pretty CGI's and Lance Henrikkson's instantly recognizable story telling, and perhaps just a little more on developing the game.

I state freely, that I am not BioWare, who has certaintly established themselves as an authority on how to make wonderful game. What I am, instead, is a SWG refugee who also happens to earn his living in the military... and with upcoming shore -> sea rotation, following the course of the game development has sorta peaked, after 1 year of development, and less then 5 released classes, and -NO- released dates.

I love BW, and I love SW, and I am sure this will be the WoW killer. Im just saddened that it is too likely that Ill be too busy to even enjoy it. (Or even know it was out.)

i really enjoy just about anything bioware releases and this is no exception its too bad they arent long enough since they stop right when youre getting interested... you should at least double the pages released to 6 instead of just 3.

Well, seeing as usually the last name is passed down by the male side of the family and seeing as it is 300 years later.....I do not believe Bastila had any children. It could have been a male side on her family though. If you remember playing Knights of the Old Republic, she was able to see her mother again in Anchorhead. Who knows, maybe she had a younger brother she did not know about.

i would like to see Bioware add space and starships. In SWBII the space combat isnt really satifying because if you dont do something then you will lose.

in SWG the space combat is pretty good, but with the new graphics available it could be better on this.

if they have got space action, i hope they dont add PvP. Because it will just get annoying when you're trying to switch planets

btw i dont like Sith. It was just a random name

i checked the game out on amazon when i first heard about the game or atleast amazon did, according to amazon swtor should be available around jan, if the developers work on it in time, but who knows amazon could be wrong. so, i'm expecting around 1 jan for releasal, but everyone else isn't as patient as i am.

I believe that BioWare will eventually release something really good in mid August....like they said...
For all the people who are complaining about the comics...GET OVER IT AND LISTEN TO THE DEVELOPERS ANNOUNCEMENTS. I mean ffs...if you think this is mid-august...get a f**king calendar.

Yeah, unfortunately Bioware is always slow releasing things about their games because the PR has an electric pull up their ***** if they say too much.

Yeah, The Host Location should be America or England , even if i am Romania, Then should also say if it will be Monthly Fees , if so, they should be Monthly fees in dollars and in Euros , And i hope it won't be 14 Dollars / Month like World of Warcraft( Worst Game Ever don't search it on google ) I hope it would be like 10$ / Month , Or , if it won't be Monthly Fees, they should add it avaitable to be Bought In the most Populated countries ( Exemple: America, England, China, Romania , Canada, Etc ) , if no, to be able to Buy Buy Online then download it and start playing, I hope it will be one of these Things, Plus , I hope they will launch it in November...

P.S. I have nothing against Germany... just figured since the majority of those producing the game and the companies sponsoring the game are American and the majority of players will be American... I just would have liked America to host the location for the first gameplay video.

Aion and SWTOR doesnt even have the same demoscope. SWTOR is, well.. .Star Wars. Its mandatory to get!

Aion is pure and pretty fantasy with focus on good PvP and raids and PvP... I'll get this for my fantasy fix for sure.

Not like anyone could really answer me, but these characters being followed in the comics and articles.....will they be npc characters you could meet in the game? I don't know it's something to consider.

I think there going to show some of the starting Planets and the known classes in action. But you can´t call this a "demo", more a presentation.

Yeah I hope they put something from the comics into the game.

If there is going to be a demo it would probably be the starter quest/tutorial or early beginning of the game.

Usually MMO's dont have a "demo" but this one is rather unusual isn't it?

( Also, dont get "demo" and testing confused. Demo's are used to show off the game on the other hand beta's and alpha's (testing) are used to iron it out.

I know the demo is going to be shown at certain events aroudnt he world, I'm expecting the demo to come out for us (users) sometime in late September, possibly early October at the latest.
I don't exactly know how a demo of a MMO game works, I'm assuming it will be (experience wise) similiar to cutting out a piece of KOTOR and playing that. Highly looking forward to it - I know I'll be playing it over and over....and over. Lol

They will likely have a closed beta of the game in which a few lucky players will get access keys to sign into an unfinished version of the full game. Rough graphics, some features not yet implemented. Things like that. They’ll later shut down the beta and revise it based on feedback from those players. Then comes the open beta, more tweaks and finally the alpha release of the completed game in stores and maybe direct to drive downloads. I wouldn’t expect to see the final version until late next year at the absolute earliest. More likely sometime in 2011.

Excellent work, Bioware. Dark Horse should take all of these comics and expand on them. Make an actual comic book out of them like KoTOR, Legacy and Invasion.

These comics are not bad. But they really need to be longer, as soon as they start to get interesting its over. And really the only way to read them is to wait for a whole chapter to finish before even starting to read it. Also I must say I’m a bit disappointed with these updates. I’ve only been a member of this thing for two or three weeks and I’m already bored. When is the next class reveal? Or the least they could do is open one of the four locked Holonet categories.

Just for reference for everybody who thinks these comics are just for story and amusement. These comics are hinting at locations, skills, ablilties, and powers available in the game. Bioware doesn't put anything on this site that will not be in the game or referenced in the game. Which means every little thing you see in these comics will be in the game, including the characters. Most of you look at these as just comics... they actually some of the most inside looks into the game. To see it... you just have to pay attention.

It seems to be that way, yes...I'll probably just wait till more comics are released so I can delv deeper into the story. You should read the Knights of the Old Republic comics that have been out for sometime, takes place in the Mandalorian Wars, eventually it will show Revan....it already showed Malek before his jaw was destroyed...when he was still a Jedi Knight.
