I would like to know how the battle in the game, if we control the character or it is as in most MMOs, and RPGs.

Yeah, do you think they'll release some type of demo? all i know is that i think they are sticking to the old KOTOR combat system. LOCKED. so that means blades touch and so. so unlike wow, where in a duel your run around in circles and attack the air, it's actually like a real fight... IMPRESSIVE! =P or so i hope.

Think this is what all new MMO's need - awesome for the immersion. Aion is doing it halfheartedly (or well, at least they try), with cutscenes for the main-quests.

Fully voiced is going to be amazing but will you (like in Kotor) be able to learn Dark side powers if you are light side or vice versa.Because Force lightning was so POWERFUL! and what did the light side have stasis field... that didnt work on anyone with slight force powers ffs! anyway hope you can cross powers both light side and dark side.

That might be a possibility, but you have to remember the crazy penalties you got for using powers not of your alignment. Not sure how it will work on here, but let us see what happens.

"Fully voiced" is good but it is ways less important to me than a good combat system and well balanced classes.
I think WoW is great in the first one (one has to keep an eye out on LoS, distance, when to cast what -or which blow to use-, good talent tree, creative macros, well placed combat icons, etc) and worst ever in the second one - tbh I believe they always try to serve "the market" (underage fellows' taste) instead of 'doing their thing' and doing what they think the most creative and the best solution to a problem.

I honestly hope BioWare & LucasArts won't make the same mistakes... (so I won't have to quit the game and never look back).

true but that didnt change the fact that lightning storm was amazingly helpful doing upwrds of 70 damage(if I remember correctly especially on Onderon when you were fighting massed numbers of enemies). So if it is the case that you can only use certain powers for dark side and light side then I will probably be dark side for Force lightning and some of the other cool powers

So basically your saying that combat, macros and all that jazz is more important that actual story? Hell no. It's a factor, but not the most important thing in the game.

Cant wait for this game (just like everyone else). Voice over stuff will be fantastic. I hope its not too oriented towards single player. but more so than WoW is for sure.

sweet we see more of the game. But they need to make things more fluid. I think the bounty hunter and sith was what the gameplay demo that special "video game" media saw at E3 behind closed doors.

But they need to smooth it out, and change out the characters. The BH and Sith guy looked the same almost. And TFU looked smoother. Well this is alpha though. But the voices really make it feel immersive. Word.

by the look of the gameplay footage it looks like its not turn-based, i hope its not turn-based.i can't wait for this game its going to be the best.

i have only a few things to say about dercs comment...

what the hell, and have you ever played an mmo before, you clearly have no clue to what your saying.

this is one good reason why this game should never make it to the xbox or any game consoles these solo single player game types have no idea what an mmo is and what it takes to get one up and running.

this mmo derc, will open gameing doors for you that you have never dreamed possible. crap combat, what a foolish thing to say at such an early stage in development. tut tut.

their has to be patch;s updates tweaks exspantions and upgrades which will come in the first year of game release, then you will see graphic ovehauls and additional content added, all of which you dont get from single player xbox games. also if you have any techinical problems in game you can call a mod to fix it for you while you wait. so first hand customer service that again you do not get in a single player xbox game.

so you may have to pay 10 bucks to play it, it is going to be worth every penny. bioware has its name on it so you should be overly greatfull its not done by obsidian.

i still wont forgive bioware for letting obsidian get their filthy little grubby fingers on nwn2 :( still no cep for nwn2 and the tool set is poo also.

so derc get a grip and wait till its released before you decide the combat is crap or not.
