T his game is going to be sooooo awsome, i really hope you can design your own ship, like in galaxies, where your able to purchase packages for it

well this could be a step in the right direction. Even though Bioware specialise in RPG, this MMO is looking pretty good. Although space ships haven't been confirmed, swoops and landspeeder should be in the game. I really hope spacetravel is in the game because this aspect dosen't get the respect it should

The ability to own and freely pilot my own ship alone would be enough of a reason for me to get this game. Space travel in the Star Wars universe has an undoubtedly magical feel to it. I will be very disappointed if this aspect of the game doesn't get the attention it deserves.

Can I come visit you on your ship? You'll probably need an Engineer to help with the repairs!

BioWare mostly specializes in RPG's, that's not to say they cant make flying a ship like that in the game, I'm sure they could do it. But if they did it would really slow down the game's progression and everyone's antsy enough right now. Plus, it would kinda make getting from one planet to another alot slower than they've probibly already made it.

Well why not just make a Star Wars edition Flight Sim game u know seperatly by the ppl who actually make the Flight Sim games.

It would be fun to fly it as in flight simulators, and beeing able to inset coordinates for hyperjump and much more. I really hope they make it that good! This game is gonna rock!!!

With a game of this size I am seriously hoping for personal ships...think about it, the possibilities of space travel as well as simple travel would be endless!! A bounty hunter such as myself could have free roam to claim bounties in every system! There truly would be no place to hide from a feared enemy such as a bounty hunter...

yeah....i hope they include customizable ships. it would be even better if you could fly it yourself... without companions like atton or carth flying it for you...that would be amazing

i think any introduction of customization of ships will totally revolutionize mmo games

also i think interspace travel without cutscenes would be and AWESOME feature to have

It's all about speed pal...and shields, guns and a good copilot...if you want the job hehe!

If there is a piloting system within the game i doubt it will be in depth. If anything it will most likely be similar to Star Wars Battlefront 2, where you jump into a near ship and fly it to your destination. Customization would be almost unthinkable unless the ship was unique to your character. Since the guys from BioWare state that the game builds heavily upon the story and hinges on the character you've created, adding a piloting system with upgradable ships could potentially give some sweet role-playing elements, but it also might take away the feel of the idea of the character and his involvement in the story. Don't quote me on this, but don't expect anything too in-depth concerning the piloting system (however a degree of it will most definitely be available).

Really i think the fly on your own would be one of the greatest things you could possibly do on this game... and im hoping to see the customization every one is talkin about... OMG THIS IS GONNA BE GREAT!!!!!!

I am hoping for some sort of space warfare. crafting is always a way to make it feel more in depth and add that extra feeling of ownership. I am still new to the forums...any idea about crafting?

all this game needs is, when u go to another world you can really fly there instead of a cut scene.

i wanna have ship battles where u will be in space and be on a Jedi/Sith starship being able to drive the vehicle or manning the giant ship-ship guns and being able to defend the ship from boarding craft. IT NEEDS THAT- to the producers

What would be cool is if they used a system to where you could land your ship in a hanger and pay rent, and people could own hangers, or land it near your house and be able to just walk outside, board your ship and take off without some loading into space system, so you can fly low and incase there is bounty hunting, no one can run away and just take off and load to some unknown planet...

i wish it could be like spore but not an over head view when you get up high and alot more detail to the mountians and landscapes....i wish you could takeoff in a city fly into space and land on a space station and go bye stuff....or something like that....that would make me cry....this game looks SWEET!!!

I just want the game already... Anf no more Ebon Hawk, but would be fun to have more options then in SWG where the ships are a bit limited imho. Gimme a ISD or a Dreadnaught and ill be all happy ;)
