It's because they are simply blind. the only reason the sith lose is because people write out the story. If it were real life the sith would of had the upper hand. Reality can suck...for the good guys.

Jedi = Very Hard Class to Master. but when you DO get him going he is Epicly tough

If they do it that way, Jedi And Sith will often be called too hard to play and people will go to the Trooper class.

But then there will be some people who decide to stick with it.....because the Life of a Jedi isnt Easy, and you must dedicate yourself.

Ive been reading a lot of complaints about overpowered jedi. Im not much to post on forums, i just read not troll. But sometimes a person has to say something lol. If what i have read from the developers is correct they are trying to stick as close to storyline as they can. I personally would not be the star wars fan that i am if 1 mando or whatever could walk up and be equally matched to a jedi, Its the overpowered superhero nature of jedi that make the movies what they are. But when people start crying overpowered, what happens is you get a game like SWG. where a spy is an alpha class. a mando can stand up to 5 jedi and tank them. and the whole story line of a game gets lost. If you want to play another class, play it. I havn't read about or saw in a movie a class that could outfight a jedi without a little tactic, some luck, and some sneaky approach to it. So thats what it will take in the game. Deal with it, learn combat tactics. and have fun and know if a jedi is standing in front of you on a battle feild. Your probably making a trip to the medical station while the jedi keeps fighting.

Definitely very good points you made; there has to have balance but you also have to keep to the Star Wars univers.

Amen! i TOTALLY agree with ur viewpoint! however, jedi's did die... so again, it is a question of tactics. for example, a trooper can throw sticky grenades. so a trooper may be able to tag a jedi with one. however, if the jedi has a brain he would force push it midair to avoid being stuck. if the jedi doesn't push it away in time, his failure. he's dead.

Can you say overpowered? I have a feeling this class will be alot better than all the others and being a PVP kinda guy, I feel as though I am going to hate this class.

Not to worrie. I have not heard or read anything about PvP so no need to balance anything!
The more I read on this website more I get the feeling that people are expecting a WoW or EVQ or LOTR type of MMO.
I'm not getting that feeling.....sorry.

Hmmm...Maby but i think that everybody will have a fair chanse (if done right) to take out everybody no mater what profesion thay have. Like seen in the one of thoz vids. The BH can take out a Sith buy usin the flamer o him/her first then doing attacks with high DOT or high instant damages. Ether way im looking forward to playing this game some day. It looks to be very awsome.

I do find it amusing to see people write how the empire is going to win. When we all know that the Republic comes out on top and is the dominate Government during the Darth Bane time line, which is 700 years after this game's time.

Answer: Well, Dynomite, to answer your question, yes, I'm sure these are pre alpha shots. For some reason, people fail to realize that these graphics won't be so bad at the game's release.

This is why I'm not NOT rolling a Sith. It's very clear that the poor sap getting choked there isn't a Jedi but most likely a Tomb Raider (sic). Yet almost all of the sithophytes in here salivated at the prospect of that npc being a Jedi.

Well the only Togrutas we have seen in the Star Wars Universe, those being Shaak Ti and Osuka have been Jedi. Besides its just a Sith happy thought to CHOKE THE LIFE OUT OF A JEDI.:)

no offence to bio were or lucas arts but the light sabers look like house bricks, there too bulky and dont look like light sabers, they look like freeze pops lol

what kinda of bricks is your house made out of? I've never seen a brick that was cylinder shaped. Freeze pops are smaller then Lightsabers:P

I think I will be very disappointed if the graphics are like this. One moment they are showing trailers which are of nearly movie graphical quality, but then you have this. If the gameplay has graphics like this one moment and then the cinematic scenes look almost real like the trailers the next.. it will be quite annoying. This isn't showing computers nowadays full potentials. I was looking forward to this game.. Now.. Not so much....... I hope the gameplay is better than its graphics...

Commando i love that idea however there's just one problem the sith class would be god instead of jesus

in Star Wars Galaxies the Commando class is the big man on campus. The Jedi classes can't deflect the area damage they produce. which has been our biggest iritation, though it has made the jedi communities smaller. not every one likes dying on the battle field.

This game is in the early stages of development. I'm pretty sure they will shrink the huge hilts closer to the end when they do the final touch ups. Looking good Bioware, I can't wait!

I think that while your force chocking an opponent, you can impale them with your lightsaber as a really cool finisher!

Ummm... what would a Togruta Jedi be doing in one of Korriban's tombs? I think not looting. Researching? Nah, not on an enemy world.
I'm surprised force choke worked on a Jedi. Normally a Jedi or Sith would be able to block that kind of thing (Force resistance in the Kotors). Still, TOR is in its early stages yet, It has plenty of time to sort that king of thing out.
Whose tomb is that? And will a Light-sider be able to sneak in there without the Sith knowing? I'd really like to explore. (eg, Kotor 1 Korriban level).
Maybe there will be more tombs than just Ajunta Pall, Tulak Hord, Marka Ragnos, Naga Sadow, and Ludo Kressh. In Kotor one they said there was an entire sith fortress under the sand. I guess they were correct!
